You could then create VDI pools that correlate to the business. Using VDI in this case, you could consolidate all that server hardware into one cluster environment running a hypervisor. Or, you would have to create separate, siloed RDS farms that correlate to each business unit. Using Remote Desktop Services in this case would mean that you would either have to create one giant RDS farm with every app that everyone in the company would possibly use. For example, Accounting has 8 apps only they need, HR has 4 apps specific to them, a Developer group needs full local admin access to install an remove test software as needed. However, much of the company consists of business units that utilize a number of role specific apps.
